Is Ending NASA’s Constellation Program a Bad Move?
Probably not, IMHO. Doing a manned spaceflight program on the cheap was a bad idea. Shifting money from NASA’s unmanned science program to fund this bad idea was even worse.
Many former astronauts believed that Constellation was an accident waiting to happen. Instead of recycling old ideas and hardware let’s do the research and engineering required for a successful space program.
Obama did the right thing by killing a poorly conceived program.

Is the movie Avatar a game changer? You bet it is …
Saw James Cameron’s new movie Avatar this weekend. I can say without reservation that the technology used to produce the movie is game changing. I have never seen such a seamless use of CGI and 3D technologies. Cameron has set the bar high for future Sci-Fi epics. Only one question, can we afford 500 million dollar movies?
One other stand-out feature of the movie was Cameron’s attention to detail. Aircraft actually looked used, the gas giant that Pandora orbited had a fast rotational rate, dust and vapor added to the realism.
